Oscar 2020 Awards. The looks that inspired us

The 92nd edition of the Oscars has given a night of emotions and memorable moments thanks to the protagonists who have shown their most elegant and controversial sides.


We reviewed some of the Oscar 2020 red carpet looks:

 

 

Charlize Theron:

Actress, who was nominated for Best Actress for “The Scandal.” Dressed by Dior, the firm of which she is an ambassador, wore an elegant black dress with an asymmetrical neckline, side opening and long tail. Accessorized by a Tiffany snake necklace.

Natalie Portman:

The actress wore a Christian Dior look, with transparencies and golden details. But the wow factor was the cape she wore over it.  Embroidered in it were the name of all female directors who weren’t nominated this year, since there were no women in “Best Direction” category.

Billie Eilish:

The singer, as expected, stirs away from the conventional dresses that we usually see on the red carpet. Creating a new era in genderless fashion and without rules. On this event she wore an oversized Chanel suit (with big display of logos and inscriptions), extralong black slippers and nails with diamonds.

Rooney Mara:

Billy Porter:

The Pose actor opted for an out of the ordinary outfit. As usual, claiming the rethinking of identity gender and breaking stereotypes. On this occasion he wore an original Giles Deacon two piece suit. A body covered with feathers gold and voluminous patterned skirt, Swarovski jewellery and Jimmy Choo shoes.

Sandy Powell:

The costume designer wore a white suit that displayed the signature of multiple celebrities that signed for the charitable cause. The raised money will go to the “The Art Fund” initiative. Celebrities like  Robert De Niro, Saoirse Ronan, Woody Harelson, Scarlett Johansson, Margot Robbie and Renée Zellweger have autographed the designer’s suit.
