Last November 19th was the International Day of Entrepreneurial Woman, this day was created in 2014 in the council of the United Nations. The agency considered chose this date to promote, encourage, support, motivate and value the entrepreneurial capacity of women. The objective is to make women and female empowerment visible, as well as to sensitize society about the difficulties that exist in the business ecosystem.<\/em><\/p>\n

In Spain, for every 10 male entrepreneurs, there are 9 women, while the European average is 6, so we consider these data optimistic. But the Entrepreneurship Map 2020 of the Spain Startup-South Summit, shows that women only create 14% of start-ups in our country.<\/p>\n

When speaking about female entrepreneurship in the textile and fashion sector we want to name:<\/p>\n

– Jer\u00f3nima Guti\u00e9rrez de Caviedes: Spain, 19th century. He ran a clothing store, fabrics and other products, being very important in the development of commerce in Bilbao.<\/p>\n

– Emilie Fl\u00f6ge: Austria, 20th century. Designer and owner of a fashion store in Vienna. Related to the creative avant-gardes of the moment, both in textile manufacturing and in the plastic arts.<\/p>\n

– Gabrielle Chanel (Coco Chanel): France, 20th century. Designer of fashion, bags, perfumes, hats and jewelry. She helped change the point of view of how a woman could dress by creating a line of casual, simple and comfortable clothing. In addition, he had an important dimension of a character of social relevance.<\/p>\n
