“Flowers” by Pedro Almodóvar & Jorge Galindo

From November 22, 2019 to January 26, 2020, the exhibition “Flores” by Jorge Galindo y Almodóvar will be presented at Tabacalera, Madrid. In this exhibition we see Almodóvar as a painter for the first time and we can admire the interesting mix of cinema and art in the 40 artworks. These have been made from the photographs of the filmmaker’s studio that Jorge Galindo has painted together with Almodóvar, interspersing the photographic collages with the painting. Jorge Galindo and Almodovar have worked hand in hand to create these pictorial works, bringing the flower as the main element. A very interesting and original exhibition that you can’t miss.

Jorge Galindo, in addition to collaborating with Almodóvar in this exhibition, has collaborated with Arena Martinez for the ONE BAG MANY SMILES bag collection. This collection consists of clutch bags, which are designed by 20 different artists, who have painted them by hand, in order to raise money for the “Juega Terapia” charity in Madrid.
