In this 58th edition of the Venice Biennale, considered one of the most important events in the art world, the American Ralph Rugoff has been appointed curator and commissioner in charge. The festival that takes place in the city of Venice, opens its doors on May 11th until November 24th, thus offering several months of these exhibitions to all visitors of the world.In this edition the topic is aimed at ‘the difficult times’ that the world is currently experiencing, evoking issues such as the global migration crisis, racism in the metropolis, climate change, among others. Ralph Rugoff also comments on the edition, which can be taken as an opportunity to overcome the mass simplification, derived from fear, anguish and conformism.
The spaces destined for the Biennale of Venice in 2019 are divided into two locations, one in the pavilion of Arsenale and the other in the central pavilion of Giardini.
