The pandemic that has been going through all of us for more than 70 days that seems to be gradually relaxing, brings us new opportunities for artists. Companies have committed themselves to the most disadvantaged to act as a patron and that culture, art and creation do not cease their activity.
We have met artists who have made history through patronage. Many, perhaps, would not be soaking books today without the help of people who trusted their talent, who saw art as a way to cultivate the people, or simply because they wanted to help someone. One of the best-known families in the history of art is that of the Medici, largely thanks to them today we know the work of Boticelli and Da Vinci, among others.
However, today, patronage or aid can come in different formats and even from public institutions, not necessarily from the private sphere. The most classic form are usually open competitions for amateur artists, such as the Gunter Gallery, which offers you the possibility of exhibiting alongside artists such as Paula Bonet, a benchmark of feminism and activism worldwide, Coco Dávez or Ricardo Cavolo.
