It’s not a secret that with the elimination of face masks in interiors, and the rising temperatures, all of us want to leave our cities and start sightseeing.
These two years have made us appreciate more the beautiful landscapes that we have in our country, and from Arena Martínez we want to propose 6 places where you can enjoy good gastronomy and plenty of things to do, from visiting museums, to taking a walk through little streets and villages full of charm.
Our first destination couldn’t be other than Barcelona. The Catalonian capital is one of the best cities to visit during a long weekend. Getting lost in the Gothic Quarter, going to the wonderful Park Güell and admiring Gaudi’s artwork, feeling like a local at Mercado de la Boquería, or visiting Casa Batlló while strolling from the H10 Art Gallery hotel, are one of our recommendations in the city. In the lobby, there are original artworks made by Miró, apart from naming each of their floors after different contemporary artists.
Our next destination is no other than the city of Bilbao. Its Contemporary art museum, the Guggenheim, is one of the most important ones in the world. We propose to visit their permanent exhibition and their last exhibitions. We recommend our blazer and pants Flax anti-bacterial, since it’s one of the most comfortable options to walk through the city, eating pintxos, and will protect you from the cold temperatures of the capital of the Basque Country.
This list wouldn’t be complete without Alicante. As we mentioned in this entry of our blog, the visit to the picturesque village of Altea is unmissable, but did you know about Guadalest? In the interior area of the province, we can find this beautiful medieval village, the Historical and Cultural Heritage of our country. Mandatory visit to the castle and any of its viewpoints, as well as entering the village through the tunnel that’s under the rock where the castle stands.
And speaking of charming villages, we couldn’t miss Asturias! If you prefer exploring natural landscapes instead of visiting landmarks and monuments, you can always prepare a small road trip in areas such as Cangas de Onís and Ribadesella, and visit the Bufones de Pria or the Acantilados del Infierno, a true natural show! And you cannot forget about eating a delicious cachopo or a typical fabada.
On the other hand, if you prefer a hotter city, you can always visit the south of Spain, and here we want to recommend you the beautiful city of Córdoba. If you want to match with the colorful flower patios, you can always wear our Lemons collection. Specifically, we recommend the Mao dress, in which you will feel perfect for the heat of the day, as well as the soft temperatures of the night. It’s ideal for visiting the Mosque, the Alcázar, or crossing the Guadalquivir river through the Roman Bridge, one of the most beautiful ones in the country.
Our last destination had to be Madrid. The Spanish capital is always a good option for those who want to have everything in one place. You can spend the long weekend visiting the “Art Triangle”, which is the union of the three most representative museums in the city: the Prado Museum, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, and the Reina Sofía Museum. If you get hungry, we propose the NuBel restaurant, which is located inside the Reina Sofía Museum, and is the perfect union between gastronomy and design.
