As fashion enthusiasts, there’s no better way to welcome the new year than with some of the first covers of the iconic Vogue magazine for this January 2021.

In this exciting and hopeful year, it is, of course, hard-working and successful women who are leading the first covers of the year.

In the national case, it has been protagonized by the well-known actress Penélope Cruz, who has already been on the cover of the magazine several times, photographed by Nico Bustos and styled by Juan Cebrián in a natural setting, under the slogan “A year for change”. In these pages the actress is interviewed by the director of Vogue Spain, Eugenia de la Torre, who says goodbye to the editorial with this January issue.

In the case of the United States, there are 4 covers of this January 2021 starring women under the slogan “Vogue Values 2021. New Year, New World”, which illustrates the hope of change in this year as the main value in this first issue of the magazine.

Among them is the successful Catalan artist Rosalía, who already featured Vogue Spain last July 2019, to make the jump to the international stage and now cover the January issue in the USA. Rosalía has been photographed by Annie Leibovitz, styled by Carlos Nazario, in a Burberry dress, on a cover marked by red and maroon.

The same photographer who photographed Rosalía, Annie Leibovitz, also shot the other 3 women who would star in this series of 4 covers presented by Vogue as an opening to the new year.

On the one hand, she portrayed Frances McDormand, the award-winning lead actress of the film Nomadland, dressed in Fear of God.

The third cover was headed by plus-size model Paloma Elsesser, who represents the diversity of bodies in fashion, debuting in 2020 on the catwalk with brands such as Lanvin and Fendi. On the cover she wears a model of the firm Michael Kors.

Another of the covers was headed by tennis player Naomi Osaka, an international sports phenomenon, in an asymmetrical Louis Vuitton striped dress.

In the case of Vogue UK, it welcomes 2021, almost 28 years after its debut in Vogue, starring the iconic supermodel of the 90s, Kate Moss, under the phrase “Better than ever”. Kate poses in a pleated green Dior dress with a Messika bracelet by Kate Moss, photographed by the Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott duo.

The second cover, from January 2021 for British Vogue, also features the timeless muse Kate, dressed in a “total black” look by Versace, styled by Edward Enninful, and again photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
